Advertising in an AI Agent World

In my last article, I discussed a people-centric network (https://danlovy.com/). Many use cases, like better attribution and ad targeting, are the continuation of long-standing battles. As Wayne Gretzky said, “I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.”

There is an AI Agent world coming. People will have agents roaming the world doing all sorts of things. We will see business commerce agents marketing to people’s personal shopping agents. It is happening faster than people realize. All this will intersect with advertising.

Flipping the old network model, putting people at the center prepares the world for this shift. Agents, by their nature, are people centered. Advertising isn’t chosen for you. You choose what interests you.

In this world, creating a network media identity is essential.

This gives people a safe, controlled and central place to manage all this agent activity. It gives your agent a soul.

Designing this identity is straightforward, the real challenge lies in getting it adopted. We can either implement abrupt change or opt for a gradual transition that complements existing systems, like adding color to black and white TV.

This can happen working within the current advertising technology frameworks. It will require some cooperation and the creation of new relationships. We are putting together the ecosystem to support this. Reach out to Dan Lovy (dan.lovy@simc.tv) for more information or to join.
